"The natural elements are what matter the most and this place has them all!"
vineyard
The vineyard sits high on the granite ridges of the Blackwood River Escarpment. During the growing season, the vines enjoy long hours of sunshine followed by cool evenings and moderate coastal breezes in the afternoon, idyllic growing conditions. Abundant water, granite loam soils and low frost and disease pressure all contribute to reliable quality and consistent vintages.
location
Nannup was identified as a highly suitable grape growing region by Australia’s premier viticultural research scientist, Dr John Gladstones in the 1960s. His work at the time set the path for the establishment of wine growing districts such as Margaret River, The Great Southern and Pemberton. Nannup Estate is located approx. equidistant from Busselton in the north and Margaret River in the West. The elevated location high on the Blackwood River escarpment provides a pristine environment of rare beauty.
